Once these are removed they are then likely sold to customers in need of parts., These parts are much more affordable than buying new parts from dealers or directly from manufacturers. Additionally because some of the vehicles may not necessarily be old, the parts may then be used for a fairly long period. Some salvage yards may have policies such as “you buy it you pull it”where the customer must get his or her own mechanic to retrieve the parts, however many others will complete the process of pulling the parts, typically, well before they are even sold.
