Arrow Capital Management, Llc Gains New Director Of Business Development
Wanat to Head Marketing and Client Service The new responsibilities that Ivan Wanat will be undertaking include managing the marketing and client service efforts for Arrow Capital. These efforts will focus mainly on the consultants and institutional investors. Wanat will also report to the Co-Managing Members, Mal Serure and Alex von Furstenberg, as the Director of Business Development. Alex von Furstenberg is excited to expand the capabilities of the company with the addition of Wanat to the team. Von Furstenberg feels that Wanat is an asset to the team, bringing along considerable experience, as well as his relationships with investors as a result of his previous positions on other fundraising projects. Serure feels that adding Wanat to the team illustrates the expansion that the company is currently undergoing. It also highlights the efforts to expand the company’s base of investors by developing new market strategies. Arrow Capital Management, LLC Alex von Furstenberg and Mal Serure founded Arrow Capital Management, LLC in July 2003, and operations commenced the same year. The company’s base is located in New York. The company acts as an alternative investment management firm, with its main focus being event-driven investing. At the end of 2009, the firm was in charge of managing about $425 million in assets for its customers. Wanat Brings Extensive Experience Prior to joining the team at Arrow Capital, Ivan Wanat was the Principal at APC, or Atlantic-Pacific Capital. In this position, Wanat assisted the top hedge fund managers of the company with their capital raising projects. Responsibilities included due diligence, deal management, hedge fund sourcing, and the coordination of the company’s various marketing activities. Ivan Wanat worked for Credit Suisse Private Fund Group as a placement agent prior to his time at Atlantic- Pacific Capital. There his responsibilities included analysis and research for the company, with the focus being on finding hedge fund managers who were searching for a distribution partner. Wanat also worked for J.P. Morgan’s Hedge Fund Coverage and Private Placement Group prior to joining Atlantic-Pacific Capital. During his six year stay with that company, Wanat worked as an investment banker in the area of hedge fund coverage and in debt private placement groups. Ivan Wanat’s education includes a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Finance from James Madison University and a Master’s of Business Administration from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
