Article Marketing – 7 Tips To Setting Yourself Article Goals
It’s amazing what you can achieve when you set yourself mini goals. What would it be like for you if you could double your traffic?
Well a very simple method to achieve this is to double the effort you put into your marketing, or you can start or increase the number of articles you write.
Last week, I completed 40 articles. I did this within four days. Each day I completed 10 articles, and I can see an immediate difference to my Web traffic. And I’m aware that although I have created 40 articles, they are not all live on the internet yet. Some of them are awaiting approval by article directories. So, what can you achieve this week to dramatically improve your traffic? If you too would like to draft 40 articles within the next five days, then take a look at the following plan of action.
#1 - You first need to set yourself a goal. My initial goal last week was to create 50 articles for the week. And although I didn’t achieve it, I still feel a sense of pride for my 40 articles. You need to create a goal for yourself, a mini goal that will last one week. If you would like to generate 50 articles over the next five days, set that as your goal.
#2 - Then, you need to set aside some time to carry out your tasks. If you would like to create 10 articles per day, set aside between three and four hours to do this. Make a note of what time precisely during the day you will carry out your tasks. There’s no point in saying, “I will do it when I have spare time,” because you will never have spare time.
#3 - You need to draft 50 article titles or headlines for your articles. If you believe 50 article titles are too many in one sitting, then do 10 article titles for the day. It is important that these titles are inspiring and inspirational. We want as many readers as possible to read through our articles.
#4 - Do some up-to-date research. It is important that your article contains fresh and new information about your particular niche. You should be able to find fresh information by reading other experts’ articles within your niche. Failing that, you could read articles in other article directories. See what others are saying about your particular topic.
#5 - Draft your articles. Ensure that your article contains an introduction, body and conclusion. The introduction could be made up using two or three sentences. The body of your article between three and four paragraphs, and the conclusion two or three sentences. Again, your article body should be compelling and interesting. You may want to introduce some benefits for your reader within your body copy.
#6 - Edit and proofread. It is very important that you edit and proofread your article. Your article needs to read in a logical fashion. Proofreading is also important because you want to eliminate as many spelling and grammatical errors as possible. You can always ask a family or a friend to proofread your work for you. The more you reduce the amount of errors in your article, the more credibility you will develop between yourself and your readers.
#7 - Submit all your articles ASAP. If you have completed 10 articles today, you have edited them and proofread them, then it is important that you submit them today. Do not leave them to the end of the week. Whilst you are generating new articles tomorrow, you can be generating new traffic over the Internet, so submit your articles to your Web directory before you begin the next set of articles.
By setting yourself some strong, powerful goals, you can amaze yourself at what you can achieve over the Internet. If you do not achieve your goals, break them down into smaller snippets and work on those. Write your goals and be amazed.
