Article Marketing And Seo Strategies For 2010

The world of search has changed in 2010. Some would say that the changes are for the good of search and others would disagree. Whether you agree or disagree is neither here or there as Matt Cutts from Google has stated that these changes are here to stay. What we now have to do is to move with the times and to amend our SEO strategy to suit the new requirements.

I actually think that the intention of these changes were ultimately positive ones but that the results thus far, at least in the UK index that I view, are less than perfect. There may well be a bug in the system that Google is not admitting to as we are seeing a massive amount of American sites in the UK index. At one stage I had to double check that I was not at Google.com and that is no exaggeration. This is something that I am fully expecting to change as it does not result in a “good user experience”.

Moving on with the required SEO strategies for 2010 in light of the results from the Google Mayday and Google Caffeine rollout – the following are in my opinion essential:

1. Add unique and useful content to your blog or website on a regular basis
2. Up the quality of your written articles
3. Write more articles on your niche subject
4. Remove any duplicate from your website

Article marketing is a great way for a webmaster to become the authority of his industry. It helps one to connect to their target audience and it is also a great way to attain additional traffic not to mention all of those important one-way backward links.
