Article marketing is one of the best forms of link building. Article writing can have a couple of direct influences on your site or blog. When you publish your article to an article directory, you are allowed a couple of links back to your site or blog. The majority of article directories will allow two back links in your author bio and depending on the directory a link in the body of the article. This type of link is very significant to your page rank and search engine position. Let me explain, if you want your site to rank well for certain key words say for example “men's shoes” then the words men's shoes are used in the anchor text link back to your site. For any one new to this game this is the link type to use, men's shoes this type of link will will produce a link back to your site with the key words "men's shoes" underlined and normally highlighted in blue. Now the basic theory behind this is to place as many of these links on as many different site as possible. That is why you you should submit as many articles as possible.

The greater the amount of links with men's shoes in the link, the better your site will perform in the search results.
But if you submit identical articles then the links will count for less. But there is a way around this problem and that way is to use an article spinner. You can buy article spinning soft ware but there are free tools available to use that are just as good, like the simply free article spinner. This tool is excellent it will produce endless variations of the same article. It dose require you to input different variations of selected word or sentences in order for the tool to work properly.
Once you have a batch of articles prepared, you can start submitting them to different directory's. This is a strategy that I use to boost my link popularity.
If you write a good article there is a chance that it will be used by a publisher or web-master as content for there site. If your article is used then your your back links will be used as well, this is called the viral effect. This will also increase your link popularity as the link will be from a relevant site. Some unscrupulous web masters and site owners will not include your links and will just steal your article and use it for content for there site.
Article writing will also establish you as an expert in your field of expertise. You don't have to be a brilliant article writer, I am not,you just need to know what you are writing about. Write what you know about and you will not have a problem.
