Asus Vh242h Monitor Review - Don't Look At Another Monitor Until You Have Read This
Like other Asus monitors, this model comes with a piano gloss black bezel, which makes it nice and attractive. The buttons are on the bottom right, and are not so noticeable as to spoil the aesthetics. The stand is not unattractive either, and once mounted, is sturdy enough to cope with the minimal weight. This model is also VESA compatible for all the wall mount enthusiasts. The back of this unit is where all the connectible bits go, and there are plenty of them to keep you happy. There are HDMI, DVI-D and analogue VGA inputs, and if you use the DVI or HDMI cable the VH242H is HDCP compliant – excellent. You also have the audio input for the integrated speaker system, should you need it. Setup is via OSD and the buttons are nice and responsive, though the menu takes some getting used to. You will find a preset setting that you like or you can tweak it yourself to your own preferences. The colours on this unit are excellent, and with a response time of 5ms, there is no problem when playing fast action movies scenes and the graphic remain smooth and well defined when gaming. This monitor is attractive, not too small (except for the price of course) and performs just the way you would expect, with no surprises which makes it good for just about everyone. The Asus VH242H?
