Asus Vw266h Monitor Review - Read This First

The Asus VW266H is a 25.5 inch widescreen LCD monitor that lives up to its reputation as a budget monitor that outperforms its price tag.

The unit comes dressed in the monitor standard glossy piano black, with a nice silver stripe along the bottom edge where you will find the buttons. This makes it none to unpleasant on the eye. The stand on the other hand, at first glance, looks a bit disappointing. It has a round base with the support rising from it, and doesn’t look up to the job of holding the monitor. That is at first glance. Handling and mating the stand to the monitor shows that looks are deceiving, and this is more than capable of its task and compliments the monitors appearance too.

At the back of this monitor are the connections, and it has everything you could need. There is HDMI, DVI and VGA, plus component video, and there is also the audio input for the integrated stereo speaker system, which actually, is pretty good for their size, unlike a lot of other integrated speakers.

Setting this monitor up is as easy as you want it to be. Follow the OSD and you can choose one of the presets, though fiddling with the standard setting will be pretty much all you need to do to get a picture to suite all your needs, and with the 2ms response time you can watch films, play games with a contented smile.

As one of the bigger monitors with one of the smallest prices, the Asus VW266H will deliver outstanding performance that you really can’t argue with.
