A visit to the dentist's office for an examination is in order before you start any home teeth whitening treatment. Failure to do so may result in painful - and even permanent - damage to both your teeth and your gums.

The primary issue for most people who desire whiter teeth and to brighten their smiles is that of affordability: how much does it cost? Well, professional teeth whitening in a dental office can be quite expensive, costing as much as a thousand dollars if it is a laser whitening treatment. Considering that at home teeth whitening kits cost as little as $30, it's no wonder that, despite its drawbacks, it is steadily increasing in popularity today.
