Atlas Copco Compressors has set the top most ranks in diesel-powered compressors by launching the new 'Hard Hat' version of their Series 7 compressor range. The Series 7 compressor range was launched in 2004 and contains seven diesel powered, single axis, oil-injected rotary screw compressors. The main features of this range are its high impact and corrosion resistance - issues normally faced with conventional housing
Atlas Copco has also released rig-mountable compressors that provide OEMs and drillers with fuel efficiency and versatility. The compressors are based on an oil-injected rotary screw design and can be power-driven by diesel engine and hydraulic or electric motors. It can be mounted onto drill rigs, trucks or other vehicles. The design has a low specific energy requirement, allowing engine size to be minimised leading to increased fuel efficiency.
The great variety of modern compressors developed by Atlas Copco all over the world with its expert engineering group has borne fruit worldwide.
