Do you place this valuable piece of your life in a nicely padded case that advertises by its shape and size, exactly what it contains? This makes life a bit easier for those thieves who specialize in stealing electronics and are on the lookout for an easy mark.

So look for something that will hold your computer comfortably; something that is closer in design to a messenger bag, a briefcase, or even an overnight bag. Any of those bags might easily contain notebooks, papers, files, articles of clothing and/or toiletries; items that would be less appealing to a hit-and-run type of crime.

The incident of this type of crime is on the increase. One out of every ten laptops will be stolen within the first twelve months of purchase and 90% of them will never be recovered. You can be standing in line anywhere; just put your laptop down next to you so that you can free your hands and in just a second, it’s gone.
