The function of this pump is to gather the necessary lubricant in order to pressurize it in to action to provide the reaction of moving the gears. The gearset is a set of gears that are placed in such a way that one or more may function at the same time to provide the acceleration control that the driver desires. The metal plates with teeth are positioned in such a way that they form a sort of line made up of different gears with different circumferences. The bands' function is a way that they make other gears hold still while the necessary one is moving. Not all members of the gearset move at the same time, it is possible for only one or two to move so that the rest should be held by the bands in order not to cause confusion in the gearbox. Another transmission repair necessity is the lubricant. This is a highly viscous oil that helps to prevent wear and tear in the moving parts. It functions by coating the gears and other needed parts to make the transition from one gear to another smoother with less friction. This lubricant is different from other motor oils because of its viscosity. If there is not enough of the oil in the gearbox, the possibility of friction means faster wearing down of the metal parts.
