Avoid Being Trapped In Your Storage Unit
What happens if your account goes into default and you want to get into your unit after the office is closed. Your gate code will not work. Do not assume if you have gotten behind on your payments, that your personalized access code to gain entry into the storage facility is going to work. Measures are in place to restrict your access to the storage facility in an effort to get your attention to come into the office and resolve the balance due on your account. The access gate will always allow you entry and exit when you are in compliance with your original agreement that you signed when you rented the storage unit. So pending on your ability to maintain a current account, you should have no problems coming and going. If your account goes into default, for whatever reason, when the storage facility accounting department tries to contact you, utilizing the information you provided on your rental agreement, please make every effort to come in and make a payment. You must contact the office during office hours and make your payment as soon as possible. If the office is closed and you have received notification that your account is in default, please contact the office directly to resolve your accounting relationship and regain access to your belongings. Phoning the office after hours connects you to a voice mail system or reservation line. If your gate access code does not work, do not try to gain access to the property by following behind another customer accessing the facility with their gate code. If you do not exit the same time they do, when they leave, you will have no way to exit the property. If your gate code did not allow you access to the property, it will also not allow you to exit the property. Make sure you understand the amenities and safety features offered by the facility before signing the rental agreement, and what the consequences could be, should you find yourself not being able to pay your bill.
