Avoid Being Tricked When Buying A Website

When you want to go into the business of buying websites, you have to remember that not all sellers will be honest regarding their website. This is a sad truth. This is why I have put down some tricks that can be used on you by dishonest sellers. This way, you will not be fooled in buying a website that is no more than a year old or a website that does not have a PR or any other website which were presented will false information.

Some of the sellers will try to fake the PR of their website to make it more impressive. High PR means a sure buyer and it adds more value to the site. If one of the sellers would tell you that his or her site's PR is PR 10 then the site that he might be talking about is CNN, Google or Facebook. So, before you go ahead and buy that site, do your research first. Ask for proof, who knows, he or she might be telling the truth or not. In faking the PR, a redirection is usually used to fool the prospective buyer. It is a tool wherein the traffic is being redirected from a certain page or domain to another page or domain. For the prospective buyers, fret not since there is a way to check if a site has a fake PageRank. Simply type this info:domain.com on Google.com, then if the result is the same URL that you typed then the PR of the site that you are planning to buy should be okay. Also, checking the domain age should also be done when checking the PR because age does matter in terms of PageRank. A new domain will not be able to get a high PageRank easily.

Another trick that might be used on you is a fake screenshots. There are dishonest sellers would actually resort to this trick. Remember, screenshots can be edited easily and if you use this alone as the basis of your purchase then you might be making a big mistake. Usually, this trick is being used on those prospective buyers who want to buy an Adsense site. For you not to be fooled by fake screenshots, verify the screenshots that will be sent your way.

There are still many tricks that can be used on prospective buyers such as yourself. So, before you buy any websites remember to verify the data that will be sent to you. There are many tools in the internet which you can use to verify those, like the Whois tool where you can check the domain age of a certain site and many more. Do your research and verify before buying a website.
