Every school year there are tons of goals and back to school ideas that students have. Keeping their school locker clean and well organized is one of these goals. It is amazing how fast that goal becomes a thing of the past. Before long there are loose papers which turn into missing assignments, books thrown around, pencils/pens fall out as soon as the locker is opened and the list goes on.

Trying to keep a clean locker is a hard task. Many times students are rushing between classes and there is not a moment to spare when they are trying to find the books needed for class before the bell rings. It feels like a race against time and when there is a messy locker on the winning team, the winning team is bound to meet its first loss.

Here is a look at different locker organizer supplies that will help keep things in order.

Books

Consider using locker shelves to put textbooks on. There are shelves available that can fit into standard size school lockers. These shelves can be used for textbooks in the same manner that a bookshelf is used. Because the weight capacity may vary per shelf, always put the heaviest books on the bottom.

Use book covers to cover books and store the books on the shelves with the spine facing the direction of the open locker. Using a different color cover for each subject or writing the name of the subject on the spine can also help.

Pens/Pencils/Highlighters

To combat the problem of pens and pencil being scattered on the floor of the locker or ending up in between a book, get a magnetic pen holder. This is a handy tool and is extremely useful when there is a need to grab and go. Also, it also helps to prevent the results of the leaking pen that we all have experienced at one time or another.

Class Schedules

Many students tape their school schedules to the inside of their locker door. While doing so is okay it is not the better option. The better option would be to use magnets to hang a copy of the schedule on the inside of the locker door. If the schedule needs to be removed for any reason, using magnets will prevent residue that may be left on the locker door from using tape.

These simple changes will prove to effectively help out with the goal of keeping a clean and organized locker in school.
