Awareness Is The First Step In The Manifesting Of Your Happiness
Your Subconscious mind is observing where you put your attention and therefore your power. Whatever receives the most attention and power is what will manifest in your life. If you are constantly trying to tell your subconscious mind that you do not want something the only message it can work on is that. It hears that you are not sure and so it works on trying to discover the thing you want. It disregards the negative words, like don’t, can’t and if. It then concentrates on manifesting the thing you don’t want. For example, if you say, “I don’t want to be unhappy” your subconscious mind hears, I want to be unhappy. So what message would be a powerful one to give your powerful manifesting listener? “I am happy” would be more powerful. Here’s the trick that causes you to keep manifesting more of what you don’t want. In an earlier article on Authentic Happiness, I said your subconscious mind does not have any beliefs. Its job is to listen in to what you are thinking so that it can attract that to you? Therefore when it attempts to interpret your wants it only hears the positive of that and it is trying to gauge where you most put your attention. For example, if you are constantly saying, “I don’t like this dry weather. I wish it would rain.” Your subconscious mind says, “I’m not sure what you want dry or rain so I will see what you put the most emphasis on and then I will know what you want.” You have heard it over and over when the weather is hot and dry everyone talks about it. So where is your attention? Mostly on the weather you do not want. Hence the sayings “What you resist persists.” And, “What you put your attention on will manifest.” Simply notice where you are putting your attention. Above all if your want to have authentic happiness in your life then concentrate on messages that tell your subconscious mind what you want that makes you feel this authentic happiness. In the example above you could talk about what the land is like when you have good rain. Mother Theresa said something that is very significant here. She said, “I will never walk in protest against war. Ask me to walk in support of Peace and I will be there.” Day 10 How your beliefs rule your perceptions and can sabotage what you want Every time you approach some situation in your life your mind searches for a reference point. If it is a situation that is uncomfortable to you your mind will revert to your beliefs around that subject and put the past experience over the top of this new experience. The end result is that you sabotage the new situation by coloring it with the same brush strokes you had before. Your mind is the hard drive on your computer where all your information is stored. The problem is you are running a very old system and the new soft ware you are trying to put into your computer is not compatible with this old system. That’s a very frustrating situation to be in. Chances are that in a sort time you will take a trip to your computer shop and upgrade your computer. That is exactly what you have to do with the thoughts that are driven by your beliefs. Only problem is they don’t stock the hard drive upgrade you need in a shop. Don’t despair though because you do have the means to upgrade your own hardware.
