Bob Strollers
Formed in 1991 by bike industry veteran Roger Malinowski and airline mechanic Philip Novotny in Novotny's machine shop, Beast of Burden started pumping out ground breaking bike trailers. As their invention caught on, they shortened their name to BOB and added innovative strollers to their line up. In the course of attempting to make the best looking, best performing, highest quality jogging strollers on the market BOB strollers designed several revolutionary features. Most importantly, in 2005 they introduced the BOB Revolution with front swivel wheel. The front wheel was free to swivel so parents could easily maneuver through tight turns and narrow grocery store isles with no problem. For more stability in off road conditions or during a run the front wheel could lock into place. This feature would quickly become an industry standard, copied by all other serious jogging stroller designers. BOB strollers produces both all-terrain and jogging strollers. All models except one, the Sport Utility Stroller D'Lux, come in either single or double passenger models. Here's a quick break down. All-terrain Bob strollers • Revolution ($389): BOB strollers' first entry into the market, it's welded aluminum alloy frame can support up to 70lbs of passenger. With innovative front swivel wheel for maneuverability and state of the art suspension for a smooth ride the Revolution was the original high quality all terrain stroller and is still one of the best. • Revolution 12" AW ($399): Based on the Revolution, this model has smaller 12" inch rear wheels for better maneuverability in tight spaces and easier storage. Same great features as the Revolution, including a 70 degree reclining seat for baby. • Stroller Strides Fitness ($399): The official Stroller Strides(R), the nationwide stroller exercise program founded by fitness expert Lisa Druxman. It's the Revolution stroller offered in different colors and also includes Stroller Strides Fitness Kit (exercise bands and exercise manual inside a BOB handlebar console) • Sport Utility Stroller ($299): Standard 3 wheel design, with locked front wheel. Large 16' inch knobby tires and adjustable state of the art suspension make for a smooth ride on any surface. It's the mountain bike of baby strollers. Jogging BOB strollers • Sport Utility Stroller D'Lux ($349): Based on the SUS all terrain stroller comes with 16" bicycle make, narrow low profile, high pressure tires for better on road running. State of the art suspension adds to a smooth run for both you and the little one. • Ironman ($349): The officially licensed baby stroller of the Ironman Triathlon, this model has stiffer shocks, slick road tires and state of the art suspension for the best ride available. All BOB strollers share a lot of the same features, in one form or another. Expect to see a ton of safety features like hand brakes and wrist straps. Comfortable seats with 70 degree reclining seats for maximum comfort are also common to all models. The major complaint with any jogging or all-terrain stroller is storage and transport. They typically don't fold easily and tend to take up a large amount of space in a trunk due to the wheels. BOB strollers are better than most. They fold in a quick two step process with easily removable wheels for even more compact storage. However, if you are looking for compactness BOB strollers and other jogging/all-terrain strollers aren't for you. BOB strollers are great looking, revolutionarily designed and stylishly put together. If you want the best all terrain or jogging stroller look no further than BOB strollers.
