Baby Shower - 6 Steps To Prepare For Table Decorations

Baby shower table decorations are often one of the hardest things to prepare in these events because you've got lots of things to consider. When choosing baby shower table decorations, you have to make sure that they match the theme but at the same won't cause any discomfort to the guests when they're eating or completing any activity on the baby shower.

Step 1. Consider the size of your venue. It will let you estimate how many guests you can accommodate, how many tables you need for the party, and how many guests can be seated per table. Having too many guests on a table might be fun but it can also prevent them from having ample space for eating and moving around.

Step 2. Consider the dishes you'll be preparing. Would a 7" plate do or would you need something bigger? If your baby shower is a grand and elaborate affair, consider purchasing different-sized plates to be used respectively for the appetizer and main dish. If you've got younger guests, they might merit a different set of baby shower table decorations.

Step 3. What kind of utensils do you need? Would your guests need bread knives, salad forks, and soup spoons? If so, you might want to consider purchasing pre-arranged baby shower table decorations that will allow you to purchase complete sets at a lower cost.

Step 4. If tablecloths aren't included in your purchases, you don't need to purchase, borrow, or rent them if you're on a budget. You could spend less by purchasing large pieces of art paper instead, cut to resemble a flower or star and use it as a tablecloth.

Step 5. If you're offering one or more types of drinks to your guests, consider offering them at least two types of glasses or cups as well. Of course, these might not be included in the baby shower table decorations you see being sold in local stores and as such, you'd have to make a special order for them.

Step 6. Your baby shower table decorations are almost complete, and you've only last important addition to make: the table centerpiece. Most pre-packed baby shower table decorations don't include a centerpiece so you'll have to shop for this separately.

Size is the first thing you have to consider. Set up a table to know how much space you have left in the center. From there, you'll know if you can afford to have an eye-catching centerpiece or you'll need to go with a cute tiny centerpiece instead.
