Back To School 2010

Wow back to school is here already. The summer always seems to short and to gone by to fast. My children have had a great summer doing many different things like camping, nice vacations, swimming allot and great summer camps. Now soccer practice has arrived too! One of my children is being anxious about school and the other two are very happy to get back to it.

This year we are only getting a few items for school clothes in the beginning. Last year we purchased to much only to find out that once they were in school and saw some of the clothing trends they did not wear some of the items we purchased. We will hold back a few weeks for the rest. To start out they each get a shirt a pant and shoes. They will be wearing their shorts and summer clothes to begin the year.

The boys are usually never to excited to kick off school. They loath it and really drag themselves into it. The girls seem to be allot more eager and into school. I know I looked at school as a waste of time. I always looked for the easy road and shortcuts. Later as an adult I realized how beneficial school really is. I had to play a lot of catch-up later in life with regards to my schooling.

Boys seem to have a real problem with focusing. Their learning technique seems to be more of an active role than a passive sit and listen to lectures system.

So here we go again I guess, a new school year and I hope it is a good one and outstanding for the kids as well.
