On our last camping and hunting trip to North Carolina, I spent a lot of time with Jackson. He was asking me for advice about being married since, out of all of us, I have been the longest. I'm not sure I helped. My wife would say that I'm not much of an expert. I gave him her email because she could tell him what not to do based on her experience with me. Perhaps I can impress her this summer with my outdoor cooking skills. Hanging out with Chef Jackson probably benefited me more than him.

I liked these trips because I got to watch Jackson in action. He's a chef by profession and grilling was his hobby. I'm in charge of that at my house so I tried to pick up some tips. I went to the web site best camping stoves and checked out the two stoves, the Coleman camping stove and the Camp Chef stove. Jackson brought those on the trip. He made some great meals on them. The Coleman looked the easiest to use. Jackson suggested the Coleman portable grill for my purposes though. I checked that out on line too and he was right. It had the features I was looking for. My wife was looking too and she liked the Coleman camp oven. We decided to purchase both and give them a try.

We ate very well on that trip to North Carolina. I have to say my family is eating well this summer in our backyard. I'm turning into quite the grill chef, if I say so myself. I'm even impressing the wife. And she really likes the camping oven. I hope I helped Jackson a little with the marriage advice. I know he helped me.
