Bad Breath Solutions
Found deep within you tongue are bacteria known as anaerobe, which is the major cause of bad breath. These microscopic organisms, as one of the first pieces of a much larger digestive system, start to break foods down to initiate digestion. The result of this process, however, is a volatile sulfuric compound (VSC)which basically is what would be considered halitosis. Cleaning the whole mouth totally and efficiently two or more times a day is the only way to rid yourself of your "dragon" breath. Scrubbing all surfaces of your teeth - front, back, and top of every tooth including your molars - for at least two minutes is necessary. Flossing the spaces between all teeth is important, along with using a tongue scraper. You can safely lift away bacteria, and the food residue that carries it, with a tongue scraper, all while protecting the delicate tongue fibers. Using a toothpaste with baking soda can help. Also, you can mix baking soda with water to create a paste for supplementing the cleaning techniques you already use. You keep the number of bacteria down by using it, as it affects your mouth's pH balance. Baking soda is an excellent option because it counteracts the halitosis by actually killing the bacteria. Consuming lots of water during the day will help, too. If your mouth is overly dry, bacteria with multiple even more. Drinking water also increases output from you salivary glands, and releasing trapped food particles. Saliva will kill bad breath bacteria, also, by the enzymes it carries. You can further reduce halitosis by snacking regularly on citrus fruits, or chewing sugar-free gum, both of which increase saliva output.
