Baking Soda For Acne

Most people are doubtful when it comes to baking soda as an acne treatment. Well then it's time to end the debate. Yes, baking soda can alleviate symptoms of acne and prevent the growth of pimples overnight. And most of these are from personal experience. Following are home acne remedies that uses baking soda.

Face mask
Baking soda acne treatment is actually very effective. You can start creating paste through baking soda and water mixture. This is placed on the skin for the next fifteen minutes. This makes the skin look fresh and cleans off dirt. You can do this four times every week, preferably done before going to sleep. Of course, like other home acne remedies, you must first wash your face with warm water before doing this. Don't start rubbing towel on your face to dry. Gentle patting or dabbing would be preferable.

Specific spots treatment
This baking soda acne treatment is pretty much the same as the face mask. Basically, the paste is placed only on the pimple. Using warm water, this can be removed the following morning. What this does is removes the oils on the skin by drying them out. Again, use a clean towel to gently dab on the skin after removal.

Baking Soda for Scars
There are those who say that baking soda can reduce the amount of scars. Many people have already proven this method to be true.

Testing first
If you have sensitive skin, you might first want to skip this method. If you want to do a skin test, first place baking soda paste on the inside of your wrist. Wait for a few minutes first. If your skin itches, then just look for another acne treatment method.

You can still try a number of treatment if this doesn't work for you. You can try checking out pumpkin, garlic or even toothpaste. Garlic and pumpkin are very effective face masks. They can also take care of any lingering scars. Placing toothpaste on the pimple is also effective.

Try to remember that it takes time for these methods to work. However, by sticking to just one routine, then you'll be able to find out if the method really works. Also, don't forget to eat right and get plenty of exercise. This will supply your skin with the necessary nutrients to keep it healthy. Wash your face as often as possible.
