Bandwidth Shaping - The Practice That Hurt Torrent Users

The popularity of bandwidth shaping is common today when it's applied by many ISPs around the globe. Bandwidth shaping can be recognized as blocking internet bandwidth at certain level without affecting browsing experience. Customer is always right. But, the equality between customers who pay same like others is important. It's not discrimination. Can this claim be accepted?

Sure we can accept it. 100 percent acceptance about what they had said should be put aside first. It looks like ISPs hid something about this practice. ISPs are trying the best to avoid bandwidth upgrade and make more money in the 'low investment situation'. It's nonsense for not upgrading internet bandwidth with the number of users increasing. They just make the life of their bandwidth now last long as they can.

Should ISPs spend more than they should when it's caused by heavy downloaders who download copyright materials? Should ISPs compromise? One research said 2478 songs were downloaded illegally.

Based on all reason, cause and effect, it's impossible to decline ISPs' action. Every day, the producing companies loss revenue caused by illegal download. No one can't decline that P2P software is a threat. It's not normal if new movies that just played in cinema can't be found in internet.

In order to prevent huge loss, entertainment industry sure made a demand to ISPs to help them stopping illegal download. Someday, illegal download will be popular item in summon letters. It's good for you to stop downloading copyright material now because ISP maybe planned to send your name to related parties to take law action. File hosting will become the most popular source after P2P is dying.

As conclusion, the effort of bandwidth shaping to stop illegal download is success but P2P is only one source. New sources will exist one by one in the future.
