Banff is known as the largest town within Banff National Park, in Alberta's Rockies, Canada. Is also the first incorporated municipality located within a national park in Canada. Banff is also the town with the highest elevation in Canada at 4,800 ft. The whole place is surrounded by amazing mountains such as the following:

The town site for Banff city developed near the railway station as a service center for tourists visiting the park. It's important to mention that a gondola lift is available to ascend Sulphur Mountain where a boardwalk takes visitors to Sanson Peak. Sulphur Mountain is also the location of one of Banff's most popular attractions, the Banff Upper Hot Springs. Lets not forget the well-known Sleeping Buffalo Mountain, also called Tunnel Mountain, situated within the town site because of its quick hikes is very popular, in less than half an hour one can reach the summit.
Banff is considered home to the popular Banff World Television Festival, Banff Mountain Film Festival and Rocky Mountain Music Festival.
