There is an totally hot blonde at the bar. She has her man sitting next to her on her right and an empty seat to her left. Most men would take the empty seat to her left and started talking to the woman. That may have worked to start a conversation but would have definitely sent the man she's with into defense mode. I waited until she left her bar stool to go use the restroom. The little lady's room has a line so I know I have at least 5 minutes until she gets back. I then take the empty seat to the left of her now empty seat, put my feet on her seat (to block others from using it), and start talking to the guy she is with as I order my drink. By the time she gets back, I have a new best friend at the bar and he has no idea I'm angling for his woman who just sat down between us. He introduces us and I include her in the talk that we were already enjoying. It's only natural that when someone sits between you that you begin conversing with them also, and again it's only natural that over time you start talking to the person further away from you less and less. From that point, all I had to do was play it cool, keep talking, and be charming. I got her number when he made a trip to the bathroom.
