Barbecue Party Recipes For Summer Fun
Watergate Salad 1 16 ounce can crushed pineapple 1 4 ounce box Jell-O™ Pistachio flavored pudding 1 8 ounce tub Cool Whip 1 16 ounce bag mini marshmallows Optional: Maraschino cherries Optional: Coconut Drain juice from pineapple. Mix all ingredients in a bowl making certain to mix well. The salad is best if left in refrigerator overnight. Some people like the Watergate Salad with cherries and coconut—that is up to the individual taste. The recipe can be doubled for larger crowds, but a single recipe will feed approximately ten people. Homemade Pasta Salad for Healthy Eating Whole Wheat or Vegetable Rotini (1 box) Fat Free or Light Italian Dressing (1 bottle) Black Olives (to taste) Cucumbers: peeled and quartered (2-3) Grape Tomatoes (to taste) Grated Cheese (to taste) For those who are used to picking up a box of pasta salad in the grocery store, this recipe will change your mind. You can adjust everything to your individual tastes and even substitute cubed cheddar cheese for the grated cheese if you so desire. Some people also like to add sliced pepperoni as well. BBQ Homemade Baked Beans 1 can (46 oz) Pork & Beans, drained Brown sugar (you can choose to substitute Splenda™ Brown Sugar to save calories) 1 Chopped Onion (your choice to add or not) Honey (until desired thickness is accomplished) Yellow Mustard, Ketchup or BBQ sauce for added flavor Bacon strips (cover entire pan) To begin, mix all ingredients in a dish which can be placed in the oven. After it is mixed well, cover the top of the mixture with uncooked bacon strips. Then bake the dish at 400 degrees F for about 45 minutes (bacon must be well done).
