There are some basic ideas that will help you draw traffic to your site, be it a website or blog. Pulling targeted traffic to your website is the most difficult part of internet marketing. They say "the money is in the list", and I truly think it is. A "list" is a list of subscribers you build to whom you send your ideas, products and information.

Article Marketing is for me the most important and economical way I use to draw targeted traffic. Establish your name as a marketing expert through article writing, on all subjects that you use or can learn concerning internet marketing. Write with confidence and state what you believe to be facts, and check your facts. Your opinions if you have studied very long are important too.

Use keywords effectively. I cannot stress this enough, and 5 or 6 is a must.

Be aware of eBay ads, and use them. Less expensive than Google Adwords, you may acquire low cost targeted traffic.

Google Adwords, PPC (pay per click) is another way to get good traffic to your website or blog.

Find blogs in your niche and comment on them. I enjoy other peoples blogs, and commenting on them. This is an excellent way to meet other marketers, and learn new ideas and make lifelong friends. If you want to channel traffic to your blog or website, then you want to find established, popular blogs where you leave your comments.

Implement these ideas and you will be ahead of the game of your goal in internet marketing.
