Neckties are basically fabric that is specifically designed to adorn a man's neck. Most of the time, they are tucked under a shirt collar and are then tied into a knot just below a man's throat. They are frequently donned as part of a dress code or as formal wear.
These custom made pieces of fashion can either be bow, or straight neckties. Bow ties are generally considered to be more formal, but when they are made with prints and worn with a matching navy coat, they can also appear to be pretty preppy. On the other hand, straight ties appear more fashionable and vougish than the traditional bow tie. Straight ties also tend to look more modern than the ageless and old-school bow tie. Moreover, neckties are much more practical to wear as compared to bow ties, which is precisely the reason why majority of men prefer to wear neckties for work.
Nowadays, customized Neckties are increasingly becoming the next stage in the long history and evolution of neckties. It is growing in popularity and is becoming widely accepted in schools, clubs and corporate bodies. They are normally embellished with the logo, emblem or insignia of the group or institution who opted to use them. Such customized neckties are the finishing touch to the uniforms of recognized schools, companies, teams, government and even royalties. The customized tie is often accentuated with woven, knitted, and printed scarves available in a wide array of sizes and finishes. Manufacturers employ the use of modern print and dyeing techniques for vibrant colors that compliment the look and feel of any uniform.
There are basically four types of neckties. First one is the cravat whose origin dates back to the 1600s. The cravat is the precursor to the modern tie, and in modern terms one can refer to a necktie as a cravat. Second is the four-in-hand tie which is currently part of men's formal attire in both Western and non-Western societies. This type of necktie is the most common tie worn today. Next is the six- and seven-fold tie which is just a variation of the four-in-hand necktie. This type of tie is composed of two or more pieces of silk which are sewn together and then folded. The last type is the clip on tie which is a permanently knotted bow tie or four-in-hand style with a metal clip fastened to the front of the shirt collar. It is regarded by some to be inferior in terms of appeal, but is more appropriate to wear in certain occupations where a traditional necktie could be a potential safety hazard.
You can find neckties in men's boutiques or at the men's section in department stores. But if you wish for a unique and more personalized look to your neckties, you may be wondering where to look for a customized necktie. For most people who share the same problem, the internet provides a quick solution. There is quite a number of websites over the internet which cater to clients who want to customize their neckties. All you have to do is tell them what exactly you are looking for in a necktie or give the manufaturers some idea on how you want your necktie to look like.
