"beef Up" Your Door Security Hardware

Amazingly, the simplest way for a thief to get inside a residence is through the front, back or garage doors. A knowledgeable burglar knows that the garage door is ordinarily the easiest way to get inside followed by the back door. And the reason is that either of these doors are less visible from the road and neighbors. It is easy for a thief to gain entry into your home by a simple kick or "shoulder slam".

According to the FBI 73% of burglars gain entry into a place of residence is by kicking-in the door. What is it about entrance doors that make them so easy for a invader to gain easy access into a home or office? Open your front door and take a look at the door-frame; more specifically the deadbolt and strike plates. This is the weakest part of your door. There is less than an inch of softwood protecting the safety of your dwelling.

The problem isn't the exterior door, hinges, deadbolt or locks. These items are all pretty strong in and of themselves. It's the door-frame (a.k.a door jamb or door casing) that is the weakest area. Door jambs are most often manufactured from softwood trees such as Pine, Spruce and Fir. These types of wood can not stand up to the force of a half inch to three-quarter inch solid steel deadbolt stem being massively forced against them. This is what happens when a door is being kicked or shoulder slammed. In addition, standard door hinges and strike plates on most homes use only 1/2" or 3/4" long screws which do not give much if any reinforcement to the door-frame. You can easily see for yourself by removing one and measuring it.

So how would you go about securing your entryway doors? To make your doors more secure, start by beefing up the hardware in the door casings. The most efficient and cost effective solution is to install a metal door-frame reinforcement device that extends well above and below the strike plates. It should be secured with multiple extra-long, high strength, large diameter screws that burrow deep into the wall studs. What this does is to replace the small weak strike plate with something that is much stronger.

A top selling door-frame strengthening product is the Door Devil Anti-kick Door Security device. Three important and unequaled features separate this product as way out in front of its competitors. Those distinctive and useful features are strength, ease of installation and guarantee. Let's talk about each one of those features:

1) Each Door Devil kit comes complete with everything you will need to kick-proof one standard-size entry door. The kit includes a 48" steel door-frame fortification security unit, 3.5" heavy-duty screws, window decals and a yard sign to inform any would-be robber that your home is anti kick-in fortified. The product is also engineered with a unique 45 degree edge making it possible to resist greater kick force while at the same time making the door easier to close after the product has been installed.

2) Installs easily right onto the existing door-frame. There is no need to disassemble the casing or hardware. The kit also comes with the correct drill bit to make the door security upgrade fast and simple. Typical installation takes less than half an hour per kit.

3) Door Devil comes with a 3x anti kick-in guarantee. No door security device will to stop a determined thief, however, Door Devil has been so rigorously tested, that the manufacturers will refund triple the purchase price if their product is ever defeated. No other door security hardware comes with that kind of manufacturer's endorsement.
