First of all to start with you must decide which type of tuition you want, is it: Beginners- Intermediate or Advanced. A beginner could be a person who either never played on a golf course or who played with friends a few times etc. and received the very basics of the game and probably hasn’t a handicap. Intermediate player: A player who has played on a golf course for some time and has an established swing including pitching, chipping and putting and has a golf handicap. The advanced player therefore is a player in short whose handicap is below double figures?

Golf Tuition for beginners, first of all you must be serious about taking up the game otherwise its only a waste of your time and hard earned money and maybe your friends time especially when they take the time and patience to introduce you to the golf course and continue to do so, remember that is after you have had lessons and plenty of practice and know the basics of the game. Before getting golf tuition you will require golf clubs and a golf bag. You don’t exactly need a full set to start with maybe a 3 wood, 5.6.7.9 iron, a pitching wedge, sand wedge, and putter. Another way of getting clubs would be to check with your golfing friends maybe they have an old set and only be glad to see them put to use. At the pro.golf shop book your lessons explain that you are a beginner. The pro. will arrange a time to have your first lesson, have 4 to5 lessons to start. The pro will give you just a few instructions each time other wise you would only become all confused about the game. Have plenty of practice in between each lesson on the instructions the pro. gave you to practice. Take your time don’t rush it or you will only become totally confused and maybe give it up before you even start the game and that would be sad as its such a great game which you will soon find out. After 4 or 5 lessons and plenty of practices venture out on to the golf course and maybe start off by playing as some beginners do play 5 or 6 holes to begin with and then gradually build up to playing 9 and so on, don’t force yourself to play more holes than you want to. Always be watching other players playing the game they might remind you of the lessons you received from the pro.
