Bejeweled 2: More Fun And More Excitement

Bejeweled became a hit overnight when it was released in its online incarnation. The simple and straightforward game that used to be amongst our favorites when we were children, put up online, totally free, with the rules and regulations kept intact. When the makers of the game released the Bejeweled in 2001, its popularity rose exponentially. The online gaming community was talking about the new happening. In addition, these appreciations were the seeds from which the idea of a sequel blossomed. The idea was put into action, and then finally in the year 2004, bejeweled 2 was released. Moreover, it was not a disappointment for sure.

The amazing thing about the new improved version was that the basic elements, the real, the core, the soul of the game was not played with and was kept intact. The aim, your goal was still very much the same. You could swap any adjacent jewels, on the board, either vertically or horizontally, but only if you could align the similar kind together in one line, meaning vertically or horizontally. No diagonal movement was allowed in this version too, because then it would have become too easy for the players. All the change occurred in the visual department. The looks and the graphics of the game had been completely changed by the developers. The players now had more interactive display, better set ups and much more.

One amazing feature about this new improved edition, Bejeweled 2, was that it was made available on all the new and famous existing gaming consoles like x box or play station and similar kind of products from other companies. Moreover, you also had more game play options. Like for example in the Classic mode, you have the option of working on getting either three or five jewels in a line. However, the rule remains the same. You can move only one block at a time, horizontally or vertically. Then you also have puzzles, of jewels of course, and action mode, in which you need to keep scoring for keeping the game active.

Bejeweled 2 also had secret modes of play. The secret mode included the levels that would be unlocked only if you fulfill certain criteria, like winning certain number of games on a trot etc. This new version was really a treat for the ones who were completely into the old version, because of its improved version. And it was no doubt that it became an even bigger hit.
