Belly Fat- How Can You Lose It?

That circle of fat around your middle-you know it’s not healthy for you! Everybody knows that! Most people are more concerned about the way they look, then the health concerns. You just want the fat to go away. Want to find out how to get rid of that belly fat fast?

So, here is the dreaded advice again! Of course, you need to exercise regularly, and eat a healthy, controlled diet. Eating the right kind of carbs in your diet, will help you lose belly fat. Include veggies, fruits, and whole grains.

In order to lose belly fat, you have to recognize that weight loss over the entire body is needed. There is no magic recipe, or pill that will do this. If you select a diet that burns fat, it will help you lose belly fat quicker. Do not drink alcohol, it adds to the fat on your belly (ever hear of a “beer belly”)?

Try walking or swimming, they are ideal cardiovascular exercise for your whole body. You can also try jogging or dancing (which is fun!) to get rid of belly fat. Almost all specialists in exercise and diet will recommend doing cardio work outs for five days per week, 20-30 minutes per work out. The specialists will also tell you to do sit-up, or crunches, which target the belly area.

I don’t know about you, but I do not have all this spare time to dedicate to exercising every week. I have a life, job and family to take care of. I don’t have much extra time! Also, I HATE crunches and sit-ups! They are so dull.

Someone with very different ideas about exercising and diet has come into my life. His advice made me sit up and listen. Mike Geary is a specialist in diet and fitness. Mike is not a supporter of dong Ab specific exercise (like sit-ups or crunches); as he states they are not useful, and can in fact make your Ab area bigger. The intensity of the exercise, and working the entire body, is recommended. He advocates high intensity exercise, resting for short periods in between. Instead of targeting the smaller abdominal muscles, you work out your larger muscle groups, which burns belly fat in a shorter period of time. Focusing on doing exercises only for your Abs, provide lesser resistance, and you need resistance to develop and tone your muscles to burn the fat.
