Best Exercise For A Women Ab Workouts

Women know what they want. They want a set of six pack abs that will make all of the boys on the beach trip and stumble over their own feet because they’re stealing a look out of the side of their sunglasses. They want to make their friends call them dirty names behind their back because they’re so jealous of those sleek, firm muscles.

The right set of ab workouts can help women get exactly that- looking sexy and trim and fitting all those clothes that make a girl look good. Even if you think you have a million miles to go to get to where you want to be, believe me, it can be done.

Let’s start with what most women think of as their “problem area” in their abs… the lower abs. That’s right, ladies, the dreaded spot that gets ugly names like “poochy belly” or other words I can’t reprint here. A lot of times, this becomes a problem area because of childbirth. Sometimes, age or inactivity can create the issue. Whatever the cause, the cure is the same.

This section of muscle is the lowest section of the rectus abdominus or “six pack” abdominal muscles. To most effectively train these muscles, do an exercise I like to call “Six Inches Of Bloody Stinking Hell”. I have other names for it, all of which involve a lot of swearing. It works, but it hurts.

It’s simple to do, really. Lie flat on your back. Put your hands under your lower back to give you some support in this area. Then, lift up your heels, about six inches off of the ground, and leave them there.

I mean, leave them there. Start counting. Keep counting. Leave your feet hovering up in the air, at that same six inches off of the ground, and feel your lower abs start to burn. How long should you keep your feet in the air? As long as you can.

You can start with thirty seconds, let’s say, but you’re going to have to increase the time as you go along. If you want to ramp up the intensity, as you hold your legs up, SLOWLY spread them apart and bring them back together. Are you starting to see why I use harsh language when I name this exercise?

This is an exercise you can do every day in front of the TV, listening to music, whatever. The point is, consistency is key. The more consistent you are with your ab workouts, the better your results will be. Some women are a little intimidated to go into a gym and do their ab workouts there until they feel like they’re in decent shape, so this is a great exercise to get you started and on the right path.

I can’t stress enough how important this area is for women to keep in shape with a consistent ab workout program. This area only gets weaker and flabbier over time and with inactivity, so if you’re going to make your friends horribly, horribly jealous of your awesome abs, you’re going to have to make a habit of including this particular ab workout in your day.

Don’t worry. You can do it. And don’t get me wrong; this isn’t the only exercise women need to do for flat abs. However, it’s a great start and a very effective way to start tightening up what is a big problem area for a lot of ladies out there. Then, once you get some forward momentum going, you can capitalize on that and keep it going.
