Best Royal Caribbean Ships For Families

Leading the way with state of the art facilities Royal Caribbean’s ships have sailed in to the heart of family cruising.

Keeping all the family happy is down to the imaginative flair that keeps Royal Caribbean as a firm favourite for families choosing to cruise. Offering the wonders of their newest ship Oasis of the Seas to their Freedom and Voyager class ships, all encompass a diverse range of activities to keep the youngest to the more senior of us fully entertained.

RCCL have been actively aware of the increase in family travel, this has played a key role when designing their newest ship Oasis of the Seas. They understand that a family holiday primarily focuses on entertaining children, with this in mind Oasis of the Seas welcomes children to the Youth Zone, an area for children to make new friends, play sports, be creative and learn new skills. Aboard Oasis of the Seas children can enjoy the wealth of activities from the FlowRider surf stimulator to the Adventure Ocean Theatre, the first children’s theatre at sea.

Taking very young children on a cruise liner can be fraught with difficulties, but again Royal Caribbean have not over looked the youngest members of the family, and has introduced Royal Babies and Tots Nursery. This frees up parental time to fully enjoy the adult activities, like a visit to the luxurious spa, where you can relax knowing that your young ones are being well cared for. Not all families wish to spend their time apart, there is a wealth of fun activities for all the family, from on deck sports and family games to participate in. Finding a balance between the two is the best way to get the most from a family cruise.

Accommodation onboard Freedom class ships have always been family oriented offering the Presidential Family Suite which accommodates up to 14 people, incorporating a private balcony and a whirlpool. A great option if you want to take the whole family away with you and stay together in the same cabin.

Dining on a family cruise can be a simple or as up market as your taste buds desire. A great option for all the family and a firm favourite is Royal Caribbean’s Johnny Rockets their famous burgers and friendly fun staff make it hard to venture anywhere else. But it does not have to be all burgers and ice cream there are also healthy dining options on board that offer great menus for all the family.

Freedom family ships include the magnificent Liberty of the Seas and Independence of the Seas. Both these ships offer an array of family activities, including Adventure Ocean youth facilities, rock climbing walls and the famous flowRider. The Independence of the Seas entertains as well in the day as she does at night, once the children are asleep visit the Casino Royale, eat in many of the beautiful restaurants, or stroll around the themed bars and lounges.

RCCL’s Liberty of the Seas one of the worlds largest and innotive ships offers a Surf park, rock climbing wall, and ice skating ring. The amazing water park H2O is a brilliant show of technical wizardry that all the family can enjoy.

Voyager class ships also offer great family cruises. Voyager a 3,114 passenger ship was the world’s largest cruise ship when Royal Caribbean entered it into service back in in November 1999. The mighty Voyager also has an ice skating ring, rock climbing, and full sized basketball court, with a Royal Promenade that is open 24 hours. This fantastic ship gives it all to making your family cruise one to remember.

A family cruise is built up of individuals, all who have different wants and needs, and for a family cruise to really work the key is to choose the right ship, that is geared up to giving you a great family holiday. Royal Caribbean’s Freedom and Voyager class ships take this fully on board, and it shows in the exceptional facilities they have to offer.

Many parents on a family cruise will find themselves eating Johnny Rockets great burgers, surfing the flowRider, rock climbing, reliving their youth, and watching their children have the time of their lives. A Royal Caribbean family cruise is about fun, laughter, discovery, and taking home lots of treasured memories.
