Bite Sized Tips For Lifetime Improvement
Benjamin Franklin had his list of virtues. He practiced each for a specific time working to improve in that area. And then he repeated the process. That's not a bad plan. Let's change it around a bit and work on our modern day lives. Look at your life in a number of area's: health and fitness, relationships, work or business and finances. Now take small bites in each area to make significant lifetime improvements. And then, just like Ben, repeat the process. Life is a marathon not a sprint so be gentle with yourself. I know you are going to try to do everything right. But try as you will-you won't. We are imperfect beings in an imperfect world. Others wrong us but we forgive. If you don't the stress is going to eat at you constantly. So we forgive others, what about ourselves? When you fall short of the mark-and you will- don't give up. Accept what is- forgive yourself- now, move forward. Our lives are too big to get everything done in one setting. Be about continual improvement in every area of you life. One bite at a time. Have a plan for today and some benchmarks or goals. Do you want better health? Be specific. Its not just exercise. What about your eating, drinking and sleeping habits? Those will make you better or tear you down. You must work on multiple bite sized items each day. Are your finances in shape? Do you even know where you stand right now? Take a look. Make a plan. Get help if you need it. Spend less than you make. Now that is three bites at the old apple. Set daily goals or benchmarks. Face your fears. But always remember this is a lifetime activity. Be gentle with yourself. Have some fun along the way. But make progress- at least a bite every day.
