Blockbuster Movie Pass Takes Dish Promotions To The Next Level

When DISH Network acquired Blockbuster back in April 2011, there was much speculation that DISH had great things in store for reviving the business that had long been known as the largest video outlet for movies, games, and TV series rentals. With the advent of the Netflix DVD by mail and streaming on demand movies, there wasn't much competition for Netflix with the exception of the ever growing chain of kiosks appearing at every gas station, and corner store from Redbox that offered $1 DVD and $1.50 Blu-Ray rentals. Now both of these video giants are taking note to how a powerhouse like Blockbuster is making a comeback, and with some major advantages to their current offerings that will once again put Blockbuster back on top with the help of DISH.

October 1st, 2011 marked the latest promotion from DISH, and at the top of their promotional offerings came the Blockbuster Movie Pass that has some wonderful advantages for the DISH subscribers who are lucky enough to enjoy the benefits of this new service. First off it's a well known fact that Blockbuster has the competition beaten hands down with the size of it's library of DVD movie titles, console games, and TV shows that measure well over 100,000 and growing. Blockbuster also has the advantage of bringing to market the latest movie releases long before Redbox and Netflix can get them, plus their streaming capabilities will now give the DISH subscribers over 3000 on-demand movies coming straight into their internet ready TV sets, and over 4000 on-demand movies to their desktop PCs, laptops, and mobile devices. The subscribers can get full access to the 100,000+ library of games, movies, and TV shows by mail, and if they want to save themselves some postage all they have to do is drop by their local Blockbuster video and do an exchange. There's also no additional costs for getting a Blu-Ray instead of a DVD.

As an additional value added benefit for those that get the Blockbuster Movie Pass, DISH Network has also decided to integrate their already popular DISH Platinum list of channels into the mix with 20 of the top channels from Platinum. Out of the 20 channels, 18 of them are in HD, and the other 4 are well loved SD picks like Starz Cinema, the Sundance Channel, Encore Mystery, and MoviePlex.

Subscribers that elect to subscribe to the America's Top 120 and 120+ will have access to a 3 month trial offer, whereas the subscribers of the America's Top 200 or higher will be given a 12 month trial offer to Blockbuster Movie Pass.
