Amongst the Red Bulls and other energy drinks, now there is a new kid on the block. It’s called “Blow Energy drink”. Kids love it while parents are screaming foul. To add the icing on the cake, it comes with a fake plastic credit card and resembles cocaine in appearance! Hence, there is bound to be a lot of controversy. However, like its popularly said, if you want people to know about something you need to either ban it or talk about how bad it is! So, blow energy drink mix is topping the charts and rapidly climbing. The question still stands; is it really that bad or is it okay to go for this drink?
Energy drinks are drinks which are loaded with ingredients like caffeine, taurine and Vitamin B complex. Energy drinks simply do what they are meant to do, to give you energy. The hectic lifestyles, the ever increasing stress and the increasing length of a single day have prompted researchers to discover the elixir of energy. Something that keeps them going on and on! That is where these energy drinks come in. Energy drinks originated in Japan in 1962 with a drink called LipovitanD which was manufactured by Taisho Pharmaceuticals. This energy drink comprised of B1, B2, B6 vitamins with niacin and taurine. From that time onwards, the energy drinks have taken the world by storm.
These days there are many energy drinks in the market. Red Bull, Effect and many others are vying the youngsters with the promises of unending energy. Caffeine, taurine and other ingredients have made these energy drinks a quick fix which the young resort too, every time they feel low. The blow energy drink has made a different style statement to climb over the shock factor. It has managed to shock the parents and the youngsters. Reason? Simply because it comes in vials and a mirror and fake credit card like the bad stuff cocaine. There are many parents who have expressed their concern on such a packaging. However, there is another side to it. While you may think that this kind of a marketing gimmick may propel the young people towards the real stuff, there is another side of the story. Many psychologists feel that if the young people are given a harmless replica of the harmful stuff like cocaine, their desire for the real thing will die down. It is only when something is not given to us, that we are challenged to get it by any means. Blow energy drink is the easier and the harmless replica of cocaine which satisfies the latent urge of generation Z to be ultra cool and modern without harming themselves.
Energy drinks have always played an important role n our lives. Tea, coffee, all these drinks have been there for ages! Now, its just that there are more synthetically manufactured and come in different shapes and sizes. What we need to realize is that the ingredients should be looked at and not the packing. If packing was the problem, then all the toy guns should be banned since they might teach our kids to fight! But, that’s not the case, is it? So, why are we creating so much ado about nothing. Hence, enjoy your blow energy drink and take a chill pill.
