Bluetooth Gps Receivers: The Greater Navigation Convenience

A Bluetooth GPS receiver can give you so much more than your flash receiver. The truth is that stand alone and flash GPS receivers are actually already great conveniences. It was therefore a great surprise when Bluetooth technology managed to make GPS technology even more convenient to use.
If you are currently considering the type of GPS receiver to purchase, you might want to give Bluetooth receivers a shot. Here are some advantages to using Bluetooth receivers for GPS.
No Wires- The most obvious advantage of Bluetooth technology is the lack of wires. As we all know, Bluetooth technology is wireless technology. No one ever has to bother with lots of tangled wires again. The lack of wires contributes even more too to GPS functions. Without wires you can position your receiver wherever a signal can be conveniently taken. Your PDA or laptop which picks up the signals can then be put at a position that is convenient for viewing.
Navigation - You may be able to save a bit if you already own a PDA. All you need to do would be to buy a Bluetooth receiver. Once your receiver is in place, you can get the same navigation benefits provided by stand alone or car mounted units.
Handsfree Convenience - A Bluetooth GPS receiver is very convenient to use while walking or hiking. You can simply put your receiver in your pocket and still get the data that you want on your PDA. Your receiver can stay out of sight but not out of reach.
Wide Compatibility - You can use your Bluetooth receiver wherever it is compatible. That means any computer, PDA or mobile phone that is Bluetooth compatible can be used with a GPS receiver. This is a great advantage over flash receivers. Newer computer or PDA models simply no longer carry slots for flash receivers.
Power - Bluetooth receivers can last for a very long time on a single charge. Some may be able to go on for a little over a day. You can therefore benefit from GPS data far longer than you would have with a portable GPS device. If you have a car, you can prioritize what needs to be plugged for recharging without having to worry about losing GPS functions.
These are only the basic advantages of Bluetooth GPS receivers. Technology experts may be able to point out a couple of other great advantages. These basic points however, are already convincing reasons to switch to Bluetooth technology for GPS.
