Bluetooth Headsets Compared
If you have ever used a Bluetooth headset, however, you will be aware that the sound quality is often a great deal poorer than talking directly into your handset, and that wind and background noise can be a real issue, particularly when using one out of doors. With the latest generation of Bluetooth headsets, these concerns have become very much a thing of the past, with improvements to audio quality and advancements in noise and wind suppression. Here are five of the best headsets currently on the market: Motorola MotoPURE H15: This stylish headset features superb noise cancellation and wind suppression, and pairs with a mobile device very quickly thanks to its RapidConnect circuitry. The sound quality is not as good as you might find on some other leading headsets, such as the Jawbone Prime or the Voyager Pro, but then again it is a good deal less expensive than these units, and can boast a superior battery life. BlueAnt Q1: This high tech, voice controlled headset is a joy to use, with an excellent interface and effective noise cancellation technology. The incoming sound quality is very good, although the outgoing sound can still be a little robotic, and the batteries do not last as long as you might like. Plantronics Voyager Pro: This headset is comparatively large, but is very comfortable to wear, and its extended boom microphone gives excellent speech quality. The battery life is long, and the sound quality is superb, so if you do not mind wearing a slightly larger headset, this is by far the pick of the current crop. Aliph Jawbone Prime: This is the third model in the impressive Jawbone range, and features an optional ear hook, vastly improved wind resistance, and a wide variety of new colour schemes. As with previous models, the sound quality is excellent, but a short battery life and a quiet earpiece let it down slightly. Sound ID 300: The smallest headset in our round up also features the longest battery life. The sound quality is good, with plenty of volume in the earpiece, but it can still sound make you sound a little robotic to other callers. If you are looking for a light, unobtrusive headset that does everything you would expect it to do, this model could be a good option.
