Body Cleanse Meditation

For those of you fighting the good fight and periodically detoxifying your body with a body cleanse, going through the diet and detox alone can seem difficult or perhaps unsatisfactory, especially if this isn't your first rodeo.

To supplement your hard work, the following is a guided meditation to stimulate your mind and spirit during the important body detox process.

To begin, select a quiet place where you won't be disturbed. Create a setting that feels relaxing and peaceful to you. For some that means relaxing music (no lyrics), for others pleasant silence. Perhaps you enjoy candles or incense. Just prepare a space that feels purifying for YOU.

Next close your eyes and feel yourself sink down into a state of calm relaxation. Count down from 10 to 1 as you sink into a state of empty calm.

See yourself from the outside. Sitting there at peace. Now peer through to see your body full of sludgy, oily residue and toxic build-up. It is accumulated in various parts of the body.

Now you remember that you are in the process of cleansing and detoxifying that temple you call your body. You see all that sludge and oil just dripping out through your pores, emptying down from beneath you. It seeps into the Earth where it can be recycled and rejuvenated.

Feel these toxins leave your body. Sometimes the sensations can actually be painful are sharp. Just let them leave. (If you feel too uncomfortable in this, count yourself back to waking consciousness and get something to drink.)

As you walk yourself through a mental purging of harmful energy from your body, you see it become white and clear. Pure and open. All the harmful toxins are gone leaving you in the peak of health and clarity.

Breathe deep as you enjoy this feeling of released tension and ultra-clean freshness. Count back up from 1 to 10 and return to waking consciousness. Breathe deeply a few moments.

Mental exercises like these can stimulate your brain (the control mechanism for your body) to move the detox along, to strengthen the expulsion of harmful toxins. Meditation is a wonderful way to strengthen a body cleanse.
