Borax Baths To Treat Scabies

Borax baths along with Epsom salts have been highly effective in the recent times. Typically, people mix one cup of Epsom salts with one cup of borax in the bath. Thereafter you must keep your body submerged in warm water for at least one hour. Such a process would relieve the itching sensation in the body and work towards eliminating the mites that cause scabies.

If you have scabies rash or blisters on your feet, you can add three cups of borax in hot water and soak your feet. This would instantly relieve the underlying pain caused due to these blisters or rash. If you are suffering from ‘Crusted’ or ‘Norwegian’ scabies, you would experience rash on your face and scalp as well. It is impossible to submerge these parts in warm water. Therefore in such cases, you must apply a thick layer of Vaseline or petroleum jelly at water line, so as to prevent the mites from migrating above the water line. You can also add a few drops of oil in your bath.
