Brainwave Entrainment Technology – Say No To Stress
Brainwave Entrainment – Binaural Beats The solid foundation of brainwave technology comes from decades of research on mental states and associated brainwave patterns. An astonishingly simple way to induce desired brainwave patterns has been discovered that involves sending slightly different sound frequencies, one to each ear. The two brain hemispheres act in unison to create a third signal, binaural beats – difference between the two sounds. For example, if one ear is fed with a frequency of 300 Hz and the other ear with 307 Hz, the brain will perceive it as a 7 Hz beat, which is created in the brain. So what is fed to ears and what is perceived in the brain are different. It can be perceived only when both the brain hemispheres are working in harmony as a whole brain. So, binaural beat is not heard as normal sound, which falls in the range 20 – 20,000 Hz for humans. However, the brain resonates in tune with the frequency of the beat – known as its frequency following response to the stimulus. This mechanism has been exploited to generate altered states of consciousness. By adjusting the frequencies of the input waves it is possible to induce specific mental states. Applications of binaural beats It is normally suggested to start the audio input with a frequency close to the person’s current dominant brainwave frequency, that is likely to be about 20 Hz for a normal waking state. With binaural beats operating in this region, the brainwaves will adjust to match it. This matching of the brainwaves with the beat frequency is called entrainment. Now the beats can be slowly changed and the brainwaves will follow it. This provides the handle to place a person in any desired level of consciousness. Pure binaural beats are often unpleasant to people, so some “white” or “pink” noise or other natural background such as sound of river, waterfall, ocean waves, etc are mixed with them. Your Anti-Stress Brainwaves – Alpha Waves Alpha brainwaves vibrate in the range, 7 – 13 Hz and arise from the white matter of your brain. These are present when you are alert and relaxed, and not actively thinking. These waves are mentally integrative and are related to the highly desirable experience of "whole brain thinking". You can deliberately boost alpha waves by closing your eyes or deep breathing. At these brainwave frequencies the neurons and the brain cells begin to operate harmoniously in a coordinated manner. When this happens, you feel a sense of calm; the situation appears more manageable and you begin to feel in control. Listening to brainwave entrainment CDs with beats in the alpha range, you can easily relax within minutes. It is a simple yet effective solution to deal with stress of normal working life. Why allow stress to tell on your health when binaural beats can keep it away. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com To read further on the subject, click here.
