Bronchitis Child

Bronchitis is as a result of inflammation of the large bronchi also known as the medium sized airways. The cause is either a bacteria or viral infection. This can affect anyone. This includes children. Bronchitis child disease is also as a result of the two pathogens. When the cause is a viral pathogen, the symptoms usually disappear in a matter of days on their own.

Bacterial infections need to be medicated using antibiotics should be taken together with an expectorant cough syrup. This syrup helps expel harmful bacteria from the lungs. Antihistamines should not be used as they work against the expectorant cough syrup. They thicken the mucous making it hard for it to be expelled out of the lungs. For a successful recovery from a bronchitis child infection, mucous should be taken after having gotten proper prescription from the doctor. it should also be taken at the right time and dosage.


Usually, you will notice that a bronchitis child feels better after you will notice that a bronchitis child feels better after two or three days of taking the medication. This does not mean that you stop giving it to her. For a complete treatment of the condition, a full dosage is quite important. It is also good to teach your children the importance of completing the medication.
