• Determine where it is most likely for their natural prey or food sources to be located as carp are even more likely to not be far behind. This means that in the spring time, you will have decent luck fishing the silt and in the summer, the weeds and grassy areas are your best bet.

Carp are well known for using certain objects as references in order to help them navigate their way through particular places in a lake or stream. Because of this, it is extremely beneficial to search for these fish around both manmade and natural structures within the water consistently. Some anglers have even been known to create their own structures by submerging rocks in a vicinity in the hopes of creating a new and attractive shelter to the fish.
