Yes. You are skinny. But that does not mean you cannot do anything about it. You can build your muscles but only if you decide now that you will commit to an exercise and diet program that will put you in the best shape of your life.
Being skinny is not a curse. It happens because of a lot of factors which include genetics and your metabolism. It is not a curse because you have the choice to not get stuck on that body for life. You have the freedom to change who you are by taking this decision to build some muscle.
So how will you start? First, you must get the proper information. A doctor will be your best bet because you can know if your body is healthy enough to withstand vigorous training. If that is okay, you can now proceed to one exercise program. I emphasized one because a lot of people tend to lose their focus when there are so many types of exercise programs out there. Decide then focus.
The next skill you must learn is how to filter out information. A lot of people are promoting products and services here and there leaving you confused. With that, you do not know who to believe in. So help yourself and do your own research. If you are looking forward on a specific diet or exercise program or taking a specific supplement, type in their brand name on Google and see the feedback. This way you are aware not only of their positive promotional statements but also their negative sides as well.
Third, learn to stick to the plan and never give up. Come up with a goal and do something to achieve that each day. Beat your goal each day and in a month's time, you will be stronger and you will wonder where your old self has gone to. You may think that you do not really need to set goals but they are as important as taking the decision to build your muscles. Just remember that a day will come and you will get your dream body. You will get that six-pack abs and your friends will be wondering on how you got yourself ripped. But all will depend on your dedication. Muscle building is not magic you know. It needs your effort.
Now look at yourself in the mirror. Do you want to stay skinny forever? Definitely not! Look at yourself and say "I will get ripped". It all starts from there.
