Bulletproof

We were talking with a friend of ours a few days ago who told us about the most recent robberies that have been taking place in his neck of the woods. He said that there is a group of robbers that've been wearing bullet proof vests while breaking into innocent people's homes. They have been kicking in their front door, then one of them will run to the bedroom and hold the homeowners at gun point in their beds while the others rob them in the middle of the night.

He was telling us that he keeps his shotgun loaded in a special way. One slug, one buckshot, and so on, since they're now wearing bullet proof vests. This is because with a buckshot, it disburses the bb's into a wider spraying pattern. Yes, we agreed that sounded like a good idea, so we followed suit. Can you imagine having something like this happen to you? This isn't made up, this is a harsh, true reality of what is going on in central Florida, and once others hear of this, it will spread amongst the bad guys and give other bad guys the same idea.

This isn't all! There are also reports of robbers going to houses at supper time dressed as police officers breaking down their door, running in screaming "police, search warrant" to scare the homeowners and rob them! Now, I've told you of a homeowner in the past who saw three guys outside his home on his security cameras, and was ready for them to break in before they even got to his door as he already saw them coming. He was able to grab his gun and fire at them the split second they barged into his garage.

We cannot keep these things from happening to us, but it sure is wise to be prepared for the worst. Everyone that has had these things happen to them didn't get up in the morning and know it was going to happen, it just did. In this life, you have to expect the unexpected and be as prepared as you possibly can. Just don't wait until something bad happens to you to take action because it might be too late!
