Bun B Mixtapes-the Early Years
Bernard Freeman, who goes by the stage name Bun B, began making Bun B mixtapes in the 1980’s in Port Arthur, Texas. He got his start as part of a hip hop group called The Four Black Ministers. When the group fell apart in the late 1980’s, Bun B and fellow group member Pimp C started their own duo, Underground Kingz, or, UGK. In addition to creating his own Bun B mixtapes, he started working full time with Pimp C on building a following for UGK. In 1992, they finally got their break and signed a record deal with Jive Records. Their debut album, Too Hard To Swallow, was the first of many hit albums for the pair and it looked like things were going in the right direction. In 2000, Bun B started making hip hop music with a side project called MIddl Fngz. However, he continued to make UGK his priority and the group continued to put out successful new mixtapes and albums. Problems started in 2003 when Pimp C was sent to prison for eight years on an aggravated gun assault charge. Having his partner sent to prison was a huge setback for Bun B but he did not let it stop him. He continued to make Bun B mixtapes and pursue a solo career. As it turned out, the most exciting parts of his career were still ahead of him. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com The author of this article has expertise in Bun B mixtapes .
