Shopping for toys and games is easy. You can buy toys from your local high street shop or online in the comfort of your own home. Both high street shops and online stores have extensive knowledge about games and toys. They can advise you about guarantees and availability. Online toy stores let you search for your toys by categories. These include product name, brand, age and price. Some shops have different categories for boys, girls or babies’ toys.

Price range - Some websites display all toys within a set price range. There will be a drop down box allowing you to select from various price ranges, or a feature that allows you to type in a minimum and maximum budget for your toys or games. This is a good feature for people who want to stick to a budget and is especially helpful at Christmas time, when we tend to over spend.

Search by age – These searches are usually grouped into age ranges i.e. 12-24 months or 1-2 years. This eliminates all inappropriate toys, and ensures the toys and games you are buying are age appropriate. Jigsaws and board games especially benefit from this type of search.
Your search may return 100 results but only display twenty products per page. There is usually a drop down option box to allow you to view up to a hundred products per page. This is a personal choice. If you don’t like to scroll and prefer to click through the pages, leave this fixed at 20 products per page.

Search by brand – If you know the manufacturer or brand name of the toys you wish to purchase, you can search by brand. Some stores will allow you to search firstly by brand and then by price. This cuts your search time down and gets rid of any toys outside of your price bracket.

Online shopping is growing. Convenience, price and a huge choice in toys and games are top reasons for buying online. Each year the number of people who are shopping online increases, with Christmas time being an exceptionally busy period.
