By Goal Setting, You Are Effectively Drawing Your Road Map To The 'hidden' Treasure!...
So, now all you have to do is follow the road map. What's that? "goal setting is difficult", you say... Yeah I know, it can be, but as soon as you make it a habit, you'll become better and better at it, on top of that, you'll no long see goal setting as such a chore. It's just one of life's designs, have you noticed everything worthwhile achieving, ISN'T easy! I actually like when things are hard because it makes me feel that I'm on the right track, and I'm certainly weary of anything that's TOO easy. The fact is, MOST people DON'T bother setting goals, and so it makes perfect sense that most people are NOT where they want to be in life. So, take my foolish advice... A good rule of thumb is, to use the 'majority' as a CONTRARY. So, if the majority don't support goal setting, you do the OPPOSITE! In short, if you want to have the best possible chance of making a success of your life, you really should set goals, but... Are you clear on what it actually is you want to be successful at? LET'S GET IT IN PERSPECTIVE It should be obvious by now, I'm all for goal setting. However, it's important that your goal setting is put into some sort of logical perspective, in other words - PRIORITISE your goals. Can you see my point? NO... OK, I'll quickly explain... Does it make sense to go out and buy a car stereo BEFORE you own a car? You obviously need to put first things FIRST! When it comes to planning your DREAM life, getting first things first is CRUCIAL. Many people overlook the important of strengthening their foundational values, BEFORE even thinking about following self improvement strategies. This is often the route cause of successes and failures in life!... In a nutshell, it's incredibly important to build ROCK-SOLID foundations BEFORE you set off trying to rule the world. Please believe me, you'll thank yourself for it, and me too, hopefully! Moving Forward... In wrapping up this article, I'll quickly pinpoint what elements a good plan should have... Your desired outcome or goal. Ideally this should be broken up into smaller goals, with each being clear and precise! For example, I want to be retired by the age of 40 with 2 million pounds in the bank and mortgage free. Attaining your goals should be logical, structured and more importantly, believable! Consider this... Living a meaningful, abundant, passionate, EXTRAORDINARY life stands head and shoulders above any other goals you can set in your life.
