California Substance Abuse Treatment
We realize that substance abuse treatment is oftentimes a painful experience for our clients - emotionally, mentally, and physically - and our staff of licensed professionals is skilled at dealing with the client on all three of these levels. In fact, some staff members are able to relate very well with our clients as they have dealt with their own substance abuse treatment and recovery themselves. This allows the client to feel more at ease and relaxed knowing that they are dealing with an individual who has "been there and done that" as well. The California Substance Abuse Treatment center offers a variety of treatment and recovery tools because we are well aware that no two clients are alike, nor are the types of substance abuse and consequences involved. In this manner, we have more to offer clients entering the program compared to other standardized substance abuse treatment and recovery centers. Here are just a few of the tools we offer our clients: One-on-One counseling sessions - clients are counseled and supervised in a private individual setting by one of our licensed physicians and/or psychologists. In many instances, they encounter a professional who has undergone treatment and recovery themselves, enabling them to facilitate their own healing process more easily. Group therapy sessions - another effective treatment and recovery tool is the group therapy session wherein several clients are involved with a licensed professional in a closed and extremely confidential meeting. 12-Step meetings - though this is still the more standardized form of program, the staff here at the California Substance Abuse Treatment center realizes that our clients need to feel comfortable and need to be exposed to 12-Step meetings so they are supported during their treatment and recovery stages. Educational sessions - clients are exposed to computers, instructional lectures, and videos for the purposes of educating them about the elements involved in their personal treatment and recovery. Some of the topics they are exposed to include: * Addiction and Spirituality * Codependency * Exercise Physiology * Health and Nutrition * Philosophies of the 12 - step Program * Physiological consequences and effects of their substance addiction These treatment and recovery tools, combined with the California Substance Abuse Treatment program counseling, have been carefully developed to allow our clients the ability to examine the consequences which result from their addictive behavior. Additionally, they are able to confront and work through the numerous emotional issues arising from their substance abuse. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com |
