Can You Homeschool And Work At Home?
#1 Online Marketing Online marketing is a great option if you are properly shown the correct methods. For our purposes, we are not talking about selling products on eBay, paid surveys, reading ads or any other scheme. Real online marketing involves selling products online to people that are genuinely looking. The products can be real products and services or they can be electronic products, such as ebooks. Money is usually made by being an affiliate with the company. You advertise the product and refer the sales. For each complete sales, you make a percentage of the market price. With proper training, you can easily support a family through this type of marketing Pros: You get to work at home. There are thousands of products available to sell online. You don't have to be an expert to sell an item. When you are done for the day, you can close your laptop and walk away. Others handle your accounting and sales and you make your own hours. Cons: You have a learning curve to adjust to. While most people make money the first month, it can take up to 4 to 6 months to be able to support a family completely through internet marketing. And that is if you work hard. If you want to work only part time, it will take longer. You also have to get proper training. There are many people out there willing to "scam" you and try to take money out of your pocket. #2 Virtual Assistant This job is exactly what it sounds like. Many companies hire assistants that can work from home and provide the services that they need. Each job is different in regards to the work load and expectations. Note: The only place to find legitimate jobs like these is through online job services such as Monster.com. There are other companies that say they offer these positions but they are marketing to "out of country" employees that will work for less than $3 per hour. This is a great job, but it can be hard to find. It is usually full time and can be difficult if you are trying to homeschool and work at home at the same time. #3 Local/Retail Business from Home This is referred to as any business that you personally own that can be run from home. It can be anything from a mortgage lender to a party planner. You can find books at the library that will list over 1000 jobs that you can start from home. Pros: You own your own business. You make your own hours. Your family can participate. Great income potential. Cons: You own your own business. You are responsible for accounting and bookkeeping. It can be very time consuming. You may have to be away from the house more than is practical if you are trying to homeschool.
